The whole series of Andrea's amazing
"Lessons from My Mother" embroideries got me wondering if you are related to someone superstitious or know someone that has any of these batty theories!
So, I'm holding a contest!
Post any of your hilarious or interesting wives' tales, superstitions, and general hilarity right here - the winner will get a (tasteful) ad promoting their website on the front page of this blog (which receives over 15,000 hits a month now, thank you readers!) for one whole month and a MYSTERY PRIZE mailed to your house!
Classic Example of a Superstition: My Nagymama always told me that a man lived in the Big Potty that wanted to suck me into the sewer because she was afraid that I would drown in the toilet. This causes me to fear The Big Potty for years.
I'll be posting mini-superstitions up all week, so, start posting, people! Can you do WORSE than Nagymama? You have until MARCH 6th to tell me about it...unless you think it's bad luck to enter contests.

Over the next week, we will be updating the Wiccan Chicken and American Goulash blogs to reflect a newer, more efficient, prettier Word Press template.
Eat it Blogger. That's what you get for not allowing people with FTP publishing to use newer templates or the "Older Posts" function. For shame, Google! You've got everything else down!
In the meantime, please let us know if funny stuff is happening to your RSS feed. You should still be able to read using

I would like to thank
The Leeway Foundation for offering me a grant to continue "American Goulash"! I am still trying to
fundraise another $2,350 to fund the purchase of a new
camcorder because it was STOLEN while we were filming a
Project Twenty1 event a few months ago.
Honestly, after being ripped off by a sociopath, getting the camera stolen, and having my car broken into (for the second time), I felt so distraught that I took a break. BUT I AM BACK AND READY FOR MORE GOULASH! Not only that, but these
experiences has lead me to start drafting up the outline for a new project called "The $15,000 Pair of Boots", coming in 2010! Stay tuned!
Thanks again for sticking by "American Goulash" enjoy reading this blog and watching my videos, please consider making a donation today (you'll be helping "American Goulash" AND our film festival.

So, I was sitting at my computer, during lunch, stuffing my face with oatmeal raisin cookies, when I went to send a friend a "Happy Birthday" message because MySpace, being the life saver that it is sometimes, reminded me that I am a horrible friend and missed a birthday. And I was a little surprised to see a TON of messages on my account. I was confused. Did people on YouTube "google" me and find my Myspace?
And then I actually used the eyeballs in my freakin' head and looked two inches to the right. This is what I saw:
Let me tell you, I uploaded this video on there about a year ago, with NO TAGS, NO DESCRIPTION - I think a friend from my mom's church wanted to see it and the easiest way I could get it to her was through MySpace. So, I forgot I even had it up there! I guess someone noticed!
You know, originally, I was going to make my personal MySpace the only place on the internet where I would have "friends only," i.e. people I actually knew...because who the heck would really want to read me ranting about bad drivers or...
